We would like to thanks all those who tried out for the Queen competition: Ryen Hoffmen, Nikki McCollum, and Bailey Griener.   This year proved to be a very competitive contest with each, being a very qualified contestant.  And wow, what a close finish!  All the girls did a fantastic job in all aspects of the competition.   Congratulations to all the competitors.

The SNGC wishes to thanks all the contestants for another great year.  Thank you for participating and helping to make the Sierra Nevada Gymkhana Club a great place to compete.

Consider Being a Volunteer

We always need volunteers. Please contact a Board member.

Remember:  The club cannot function unless volunteers step up and support the efforts of the Sierra Nevada Gymkhana Club. All parents and competitors need to support the Club by volunteering their time and/or money to help the Club continue to serve our children, our competitors and belief that horsemanship is part of  our lives. Please contact Joy or Phyllis if you are willing to help.
Please go to the Forms/Doc Page for Overview of Duties and Sign-Ups Forms

Photos of August 13, 2011 Gymkhana are now available.

A note from Drake Robles.  All photos are up from the August Gymkhana.   These will most likely be my last photos of the season.
A note from Drake Robles:  Any photographs from this year's races will be uploaded to the gallery for viewing and purchase.  Hopefully, I'll be able to make a couple of the races this year. Additionally, if you have photos that you'd would like posted to the Gallery page, please email them to Drake Robles A dr98lt@sbcglobal.net.

A new feature on Zenfolio, is the ability to crop the photo you like for an even more selective view.  I believe Zenfolio offers three crop options.  Many of the photos I  have already cropped; however, you may be able to do even more before purchase.   As in past years, the costs of the photos are approximately 40-50% off the suggested retail price.  I try to keep the prices affordable for SNGC members.  Thanks. Drake Robles

  Mission Statement

The members of Sierra Nevada Junior Rodeo/Gymkhana Club are dedicated to the preservation of our equine community for both youth and adult riders.  We strive to put on quality events including a Junior Rodeo and monthly Gymkhana’s including jackpot races.  We also reach out to support 4-H equine clubs through donations and volunteering.   Members from our Club have gone on to be some of the State’s top competitor’s in High School Rodeo Finals.  Others are extremely competitive in 4-D Barrel Racing and Rodeo.   Our Members efforts, through hard work and fund raising, have made our Gymkhana club the largest in the State of Nevada.  With determination, continued team efforts, and community support, we will continue to encourage and strive to keep equine sports alive and we will prosper to be the largest in the Western States.
